Ainsley Gerrard
Ainsley Gerrard
Chinese Herbalist
Registered Acupuncturist
TuiNa Therapist
Ainsley, an honours graduate of the Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture College of Manitoba, has completed 2800 course hours and over 1200 Clinical Practicum hours with some of the top generational Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners in Manitoba. She is a member of both the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada (CMAAC) and the Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Manitoba (TCMAAM). In addition to her practice, Ainsley also teaches at the Acupuncture College of Manitoba, and is the Director of Continuing Education for the TCMAAM.
One of the things Ainsley loves most about the Chinese Medicine style of Acupuncture is the holistic nature in which it is applied. Guiding theories in this medicine illustrate that stress can cause pains in the body, and a painful body can cause stress. Cold damp weather can affect the body, and weakness in the body are more susceptible to pain by cold damp weather. By taking into consideration the holistic nature of the human body and balancing the mind and body with the external environment, we can achieve a state of harmony in life.
