Acupuncture is the ancient Chinese art and science of treating muscle, bone and joint dysfunctions. 

At Birds Hill Physiotherapy, we practice Western Anatomical acupuncture, which is the insertion of fine gauge, sterilized needles into specific anatomical points.

Dry Needling is a multi-puncture technique that uses a special gauge needle in order break up adhesions at the musculo/fascial junction.  Results can be immediate and only a few treatments are needed to see optimal results. 

Our certified physiotherapists utilize acupuncture/dry needling in order to decrease pain and inflammation as well as normalize body function.

• Back and neck pain
• Disc herniations
• Plantar fascitis and heel spurs
  
• Muscle strains
• Inflammation and pain due to sprains and strains

Please note that as Physiotherapist we use this modality as an adjunct to treatment and not as a solitary treatment.

We are able to direct bill this service to insurance companies as long as it is provided with a physiotherapy treatment.
